Weekend in Review

Taken by moi today at the "Great American Weekend" festival

this weekend...

i love the scent of: fresh-cut lawn, Buby's skin after his bath, "street meat" heating up at a summer festival

i love the sound of: a brilliant rendition of patsy cline's "crazy" at an outdoor wedding reception, laughter, Buby squealing "weeee" all the way down the slide, church bells, motorcycles driving by

i love the taste of: steak sandwiches, fresh nectarines, Popsicles, chocolate chip cookies, smarties (not my best food weekend)

i love the sight of: blue hydrangeas in our garden, Buby curling up on the sofa with my hooded sweatshirt past his bedtime, 8 very old photo albums, chalk drawings in our driveway, Buby dancing completely unaware of himself, my mom sitting across the dinner table

i love the feel of: Buby's arms squeezing my neck, walking hand-in-hand with my husband, Buby's soft puckered lips pressed against my face, bedtime
