Buby's grandma (aka Graga), around 1955
When my mom was packing for her visit to Buby Land, the first thing on her list was boxes of old photos. She knows how much I love them, so she packed several into her car thinking we could plant ourselves at the dining table one night and go through them together. We did it all in one three-hour sitting, and it was such fun! I made her tell me stories about everyone in the photos, even stories I've heard countless times before. I wanted to hear them again.
Here are a few of my favorites of her as a gorgeous little girl in the '50s. And wasn't my grandmother beautiful? I'm going to share lots of my new old photos with you in the next few weeks, because I want Buby to have them in this virtual scrapbook of sorts, and I just think they're interesting and quite telling of the time. I scanned them in and restored as best as possible in Photoshop. Enjoy. And thanks Mom!

Mother-daughter kisses. Buby's great-grandmother V.
(who wore pretty dresses) and her youngest baby
girl by almost 20 years.... my mom, Buby's Graga.

What a face. Graga's pouty lips and sultry eyes.
She looks like she could get away with almost anything.
