A Mountain Festival

Saturday morning, while the boys took their last group ride in the H.O.G. Parade, my mom and I took Buby to a nearby Mountain Festival. I use the term "nearby" loosely. I convinced my mom we should walk what ended up feeling like a 7 mile trek. Oops. My bad. She was a good sport, and we traded shoes several times. Buby dozed off in his comfy stroller and almost missed the whole shindig. There was so much to show him, and luckily the stroll up the crazy bumpy dirt hill in our little Maclaren city stroller woke him up. Here are some fun shots from the festival.

Haystacks for kids to climb on. Buby slept through this part.

Buby made NEEH NEEH horse sounds here.

Gorgeous.

At the top of the hill, there was live music, refreshments, more animals, pony rides {we tried, but Buby got clingy and wouldn't let go of me}, and a children's tent with cool games, puzzles, and crafts.

At the bottom of the hill, there was a quilt show, jewelry vendors, handmade pottery, knitted items, and TONS of grilling going on.

Alpacas are funny looking. I mean that in the nicest possible way. Native to South America, the fleecy animal is the smaller cousin of the llama.

We learned A LOT about Alpacas here, so if anyone needs to know what they eat or how they live, let me know.

Lovebirds.

Such great photos! We have alpaca neighbors and Grace loves to see them. I think they're such interesting animals.
