There was a time when Buby felt THIS passionately about another fruit. The banana. I would search diligently and daily for innovative new hiding spots in our kitchen, just so that Buby would not spend the better part of any day pressed against kitchen cabinets, going apes over bananas in sight. No idea what caused the obsession. Or why, for that matter, the sudden change of heart. Buby started eating peaches a week ago. "Mmmm, Mmmm" he exclaimed, nodding his head in complete approval. Oh great, here we go AGAIN! Buby loves all fruit, but he goes through these obsessive phases. And his folks enjoy this particular fruit, albeit to a lesser degree, so we replenish the bowl on the table often throughout peach season. Make that... the bowl on the counter. I mean... on top of the microwave. Behind the toaster. 'Tis the season for the fresh-off-the-vine variety, so I do relent once a day and split a bowl of sliced peaches with Buby.
