Sweet Deal
The Cherrybrook Kitchen brand is new to our market's organic section, so we just picked up a few seemingly delectable options. Anyone try these yet?? Those who know me know I don't do too much from scratch. Most of what I cook is easy homemade (like bbq or steaming or pan-frying) or simply slicing up fresh veggies, cheeses, fruits, and breads. I only do cookies 100% from scratch once a year, per strict Cookie Swap rules & regulations. But I won't give Buby anything that isn't healthy, so he of course hasn't tried any of my delish "half homemade" cookies, cakes, or brownies. Needlesstosay, I was delighted to find this sugar cookie mix, about $6, and not just for its pretty packaging. It's the first I've seen that is peanut free, dairy free, egg free, and nut free. They also make gluten-free goodies for kids who are sensitive to that. The ingredients list is minimal and all natural, only the purest of things, and VERY low in sugar. And there's even healthy frosting to top it off. Cherrybrook offers muffins and a white and chocolate cake mix, too, which I figure is a superb not-too-sweet substitute for birthday cupcakes.
Buby LOVES pancakes, and here's a whole grain variety to try
