Ollie Loves...

I saw this via Naomi and just had to share. Music and dance is such a pick-me-up in the early morning hours, don't you agree? Ollie keeps trying to snag my phone and hit replay.

Star Cow

Here's Buby last Wednesday in his first school play, based on The Very Busy Caterpillar by Eric Carle. He did a fabulous job. I am so proud of our little guy for walking up there and doing his thing. I can just imagine how nerve-wracking it is for a 3-year-old to perform on stage in front of a crowd full of strangers and flashing cameras. It was a wonderful exercise in self confidence, memorization and teamwork.

Buby's co-cow Alexa said "Moo. Moo." He followed up with, "Aren't you hungry? Do you want to eat some grass?" My mom got to see it with me, which was awesome. After all the kids said their lines they sang a song and took a bow. That was a bonus gift. See a short video below.

A RED Scooter

Buby is ga-ga over this new RED scooter. Well, except that it's red. Two weeks ago we read a book with a picture of a scooter in it. Suddenly Buby announced that he would ask Santa for a scooter for Christmas. I laughed and said, "Okay..." But he'd remind us every night for the next 10 nights. He was wishing on Santa... in April. I laughed about it with My Sweets. Later Buby announced that the scooter must be orange. Just orange. I researched starter scooters one night and found only 2 toddler versions that I felt were safe + suitable. But they were both RED. Oh, he'll get over the orange thing. Three wheels, not tippy, extra wide base, folds up flat, all of that. I forwarded the link to My Sweets' Blackberry and that evening he came home with Kung Pao Chicken for me and a surprise scooter for Buby. Yesterday Buby said again how much he LOVES his "NEW SPECIAL SURPRISE" as he calls it. We got another "THANK YOU, MOMMY + DADDY" with big hugs to boot. "You're welcome, Bubs." Then he reminded us that~though he likes it a lot~it's not orange, and he's still asking Santa for an orange one. Ha!

Here's the Radio Flyer First Scooter in PINK from here... for all inquiring galpals.

Must See

Click here to see Buby reading Bill Martin Jr. + Eric Carle's "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?"
I stopped recording a second too soon. As our little bookworm stood up, he shouted "THAT WAS A GOOD BOOK, MAMA!" Way cute.

Buby's ABC Adventure

Click here to see what fantastical things Buby has been up to. {Make sure your volume is on.} You won't regret it! This ABC Adventure was a fun tip from Swanky Mom Heather. It took less than 20 seconds. I laughed out loud for longer than that! All you do is upload a picture of your child {or yourself, if you can't resist} looking straight ahead. You get a permanent link of their video to send out to friends and family. You can also make nice hardcover books with a few clicks of the mouse. Fab gift idea!

{Allison... they offer totally personalized Sesame Street books for $39.99.}
