Toddler Ski Search

Buby's Daddy and I have been talking about taking him skiing this season. Even if we start out on a mild hill at the local park, we'd like to get him comfy on skis. I'm anxious to get back out there myself, as soon as Bebe is out of the belly! All winter Little Dude wants to be outdoors. {We created a sled track for him last year, and he begged to go on it everyday.} But it wasn't until I researched toddler ski equipment that I realized it is pretty SLIM pickings! Fortunately, there are several teaching aids for this age group, such as adjustable wedges to keep the skis at a stable width, and a double harness to help pull Buby cross-country or guide him downhill. And the best part is... the few toddler skis I did find work with any outdoor boot, so you don't have to spend a bundle on ski boots when their feet are growing a mile a minute. Or is that just Buby? His paws are HUGE!
Edgie Wedgies, $9.95 each from Amazon. Not sure yet if you need one or two.
Flexi Specs toddler sunglasses, $14.95 from Mountain Baby.
Karhu Kboom ski set, $45 from Amazon.

I'm impressed that you're a ski family. I used to cross-country (there's moonlight skiing in a park near you) with my family, but haven't in years. Many years. And his paws aren't really that big, are they? I thought they were pretty average for his age. But what do I know?

Size 10 stuff is snug already. I guess they just look big next to the girls.

I can't wait to get LP out on the slopes as well, I just don't know if we're going to start her on skis or a snowboard.
