Preschool Days

Tuesdays we're at preschool and swimming from 11:30-3. Luckily this class is only once a week. Buby was so wiped out after this morning that he fell asleep on the car ride home {a rarity for him} and is still sleeping. We started class with some free play, as usual. During attendance Miss Sherri handed each two-year-old their name on a leaf, and they pinned it on a tree branch. Buby was fixated on a box of cereal that caught his eye across the room {it's always food with him}, but when he heard his name called and saw everyone turn... you'd think he won the Nobel Prize. He proudly ran up to Miss Sherri and found his place in that tree. Next week we field trip to a farm, so we all sang "Old McDonald" to the book. Afterwards we decorated trick-or-treat totes {since we'll be trick-or-treating around the building on Halloween}. Note to self: When teacher says to dress kids in old clothing for finger painting, that means mamas, too! I have orange paint and Elmer's glue all over my pretty brown sweater. Then we glued tissue paper to pumpkin cut-outs and wrote our names on them. Sometimes I feel like I'm the one in preschool, not Buby... since not all of our teacher's activities are age-appropriate. But whatever... I do think overall the class is awesome and {more important} FUN for the Bubster. After crafts we celebrated Alexander's birthday with cupcakes {his mom brought in} and then headed down to the gym for some b-ball. Then we proceeded to the swimming pool for a short class. Buby used a big-boy bubble around his waste today and held his breath and went under. Very cute!! I can still hear him yelling "LALLY SWIMMING" across the pool to his friend.
